What does Woodstock World add to the Metaverse?
The Woodstock World festival will stay true to the iconic roots of the first Woodstock, which took place in 1969, while building a high-quality metaverse experience. Fans and artists can enjoy a wide range of opportunities and fun things to do in the metaverse. Woodstock World will stay true to the original festival by using both archival 2D content and motion capture recreations. Fans can interact with their favorite songs and artists from the past in real time and in brand new ways. The meta festival also wants to give fans a chance to relive classic moments and performances from 1969.
This experience is also made with Unreal Engine 5, which is the most advanced real-time 3D modeling tool available today. Woodstock World will also add avatars, analytics, and video streams, and it will find new ways to use its main Sequin metaverse platform. There will be content from behind-the-scenes, interactive archives, and even visits to historic performances from past Woodstock festivals.
“Woodstock was and still is all about people, from all aspects of life coming together for an experience that makes them one. The metaverse provides a way for people all over the world, of all ages, to meet other people who love the same thing they do… and you don’t need an expensive plane ticket or a time machine, just the device you use every day.” says Robert DeFranco, CEO, Sequin AR.
