E-commerce platform Shopify, one of the largest and most widely used in the world, recently announced a collaboration with Novel, a no-code Web3 commerce platform, with the goal of making Web3 technologies accessible and approachable for all merchants.
As part of the deal, Novel has released an app on the Shopify App Store. This app provides merchants who are already using Shopify with the tools they need to encounter Web3 innovation in the realm of e-commerce without requiring them to have any prior technical knowledge or to make any significant time or financial investments.
Utilization and minting and distribution are the two key characteristics that are provided by the Novel Shopify app.Through the minting and distribution feature, customers are able to generate artwork for a new collection of NFTs or upload an already existing NFT collection.After that, Novel will be able to implement smart contracts over the collection and make them obtainable to customers through the Shopify storefront.
Novel will automate the currency bridge after an NFT has been acquired by an user and will also construct a corresponding crypto wallet for the customer. On the utility side of things, Novel enables merchants, such as brands and creators, to enable token-based utility on their Shopify storefronts.This includes token-gated products, URLs, and discounts, cross-chain gating on Solana, Ethereum, and Polygon, ERC-20 gating, and a number of other features.

The Novel app, which is available on Shopify and functions as an all-in-one Web3 tool, also enables retailers to add use cases to their NFT collections and facilitates token-gating.
