There’s a new limited-edition OREO flavor out this week called “Most OREO OREO,” and it features OREO crumbs in the creme filling. In celebration of the launch, the company has created a metaverse experience that can be accessed through the Meta Quest 2 and Meta Quest Pro headphones. The company claims that the OREOVERSE features many “cookie-themed” games where users may build virtual desserts and compete for a cash prize of $50,000. The next week, on the OREO brand’s social networks, you can watch TV personality Martha Stewart and her gardener Ryan McCallister as they explore the OREOVERSE live on the web.
In an official release, OREO’s Senior Brand Manager, Julia Rosenbloom, said, “We’re so excited to enter the metaverse! OREO is the cookie that begs to be played with and we love to create new opportunities for our fans to connect with each other and share that playful spirit,” said Julia Rosenbloom, Senior Brand Manager, OREO, in an official release. The Most OREO cookie gives fans a whole new way to playfully engage with us. By scanning the pack, they will ‘dunk into’ the new OREOVERSE world.”
“I am excited to make my metaverse debut in partnership with one of my favorite cookie brands, OREO, and having Ryan there with me will make it all the more fun,” said Martha Stewart. “The two of us have had our fair share of adventures over the last 10 years and have been able to navigate just about anything together, especially in the garden!”
Horizon Worlds, Meta’s own social VR metaverse, is where you can experience the OREOVERSE with a Meta Quest 2 or Meta Quest Pro headset. On Monday, January 30 at 10 a.m. ET, Marth Stewart’s OREOVERSE journey will begin on Facebook and Instagram.
