MoonPay adds Nightshift to expand its Web3 Offerings

Metaverse news about MoonPay, a Web3 infrastructure firm specializing in crypto payments, has just acquired Web3 creative agency Nightshift, completing its variety of services for Web3-building brands.

MoonPay CEO Ivan Soto-Wright stated in a news statement that with this latest purchase, MoonPay would be able to give its present and future clients with “world-class, end-to-end support.”

Due to this transaction, the Toronto-based Nightshift is changing its name to Otherlife. Furthermore, existing Nightshift clients will see no interruption in service, as the agency will continue to serve them under its new name.

Why is it important that MoonPay bought Nightshift?

With the purchase of Nightshift by MoonPay, a Web3 infrastructure firm just got one of the best creative agencies on the Web3. As Nightshift, the agency made creatives for Web3-native clients like Coinbase, Adam Bomb Squad, OpenSea, and more. Aside from Web3, the agency has done work for clients like Arsenal Football Club, Shopify, Playboy, and more in branding, design, and Web3 product strategy.

“With the addition of Otherlife, we can provide companies, brands, and creative agencies with world-class, end-to-end support to unlock new revenue through groundbreaking Web3-based products, experiences and ideas,” MoonPay CEO Ivan Soto-Wright said . “I’ve been a great admirer of everything Perrow, Moodie and the team at Otherlife have created. And I’m excited about what we’ll build together.”

Otherlife will serve some of the world’s top firms, Web3 or otherwise, as MoonPay works toward its long-term aim of onboarding the world into Web3 through its existing and future client base. “Reflecting our continued focus on innovation and creativity, Otherlife’s brand is a renewal of our commitment to providing cutting-edge creative solutions and our dedication to staying at the forefront of the web3 industry,” Otherlife Creative Director and Co-Founder Michael Moodie said. “We will continue to push the boundaries of what’s possible while staying true to our genesis values,” he said.

What will Moonpay do next?

With the combined knowledge of this new team, legacy brands that are thinking about jumping into Web3 would be hard-pressed to find a company like MoonPay that could help them make the most of their first steps into new territory. MoonPay has made a lot of changes to its services over the course of 2022 to help its current and future customers get into Web3 as easily as possible. For example, MoonPay released HyperMint in June 2022. HyperMint is a smart contract platform that aims to make minting NFTs as easy as possible for both individuals and large companies.

For Otherlife, a lot of the excitement after it was bought can be traced back to MoonPay’s goal of making it as easy as possible to get into Web3. Through its partnership with Universal Parks and Resorts, MoonPay was able to show park attendees how easy it is to use NFTs by using POAP NFTs in a way that didn’t cause any problems.

“MoonPay’s wallets, smart contracts, on-ramps, and growing infrastructure provide endless support for our growing roster of clients,” said Otherlife CEO and Co-Founder Michael Perrow.
