This past year, it was amusing to observe the regularity with which exhibitors included the word metaverse into their exhibits. It even went viral as one XR expert’s Twitter thread circulated the show citing every instance of the word, with overwhelming results.
Despite the current state of technology, the Metaverse and Web3 will receive their own dedicated place in 2023. This time in the Convention Center’s Central Hall in Las Vegas.
Kinsey Fabrizio, Senior Vice President of Membership and CES Sales for the Consumer Technology Association, discussed what to expect for CES 2023 on a recent episode of the CES Tech Talk podcast. In the central hall, he noted, there would be a section dedicated to gaming, Metaverse, and Web3. The Central Hall, where CoinDesk’s Web3 Studio will be located, will be a highly exciting area of the exhibition floor, he disclosed. On the broadcast, the studio will conduct interviews with key Web3 speakers and discuss the most recent crypto and blockchain news.
Central Hall is what many people envision when they think of the classic CES. This is the section of the LVCC where the largest exhibitors are located. With Coindesk’s Web3 Studio located in the LVCC Central Hall, Web3, the Metaverse, and blockchain will be the center of CES. CoinDesk will feature industry experts and visionaries as they debate the most important innovations across industries, technologies, and capacities.
Digital Hollywood provides a partner track known as Digital Hollywood: Hollywood Streaming and Metaverse. The inaugural Tracks session, titled Web3, XR, the Metaverse, and the Entertainment Consumer, is the first CES event to address this topic.
Additionally, CES 2023 will feature a Metaverse and Gaming track with gaming-like sessions that transport us to the Metaverse. In this track, the Luxury Brands Embracing Innovation: How the Best of the Best Are Leaning Into AI, the Metaverse, and Beyond panel will also explore fashion and luxury.
Additionally, there is a Creator Economy and NFTs talk track. This track includes topics such as Web3: Fad or The Future? and The Changing Metaverse Landscape: Opportunities as Challenges.
