The festive season is being brought into the metaverse by Mariah Carey.
The “Fantasy” singer stated on Friday that she will use Livetopia to create a virtual environment called Mariah Carey’s Winter Wonderland for the online gaming platform Roblox that will include performances by Carey. “Christmas is my absolute favorite time of the year! This year, I wanted to do something different to ring in the holiday season,” 52-year-old Carey said in a news release. “My kids and I live for Roblox, and we couldn’t be more excited to be creating this festive metaverse experience for everyone!”
The Roblox experience, which aims to unite millions of people via interactive 3D adventures, was subsequently introduced following the Christmas icon.
There will be special virtual item drops, a treasure hunt with a Christmas theme created with Carey’s 11-year-old twins Moroccan and Monroe, and virtual performances in Livetopia homes all during the month of December.
Carey will sing a variety of contemporary songs as well as well-known classics, capping the performance with “All I Want for Christmas Is You.”
Starting on December 21 at 7:00 p.m. Eastern Time, four successive evenings will feature the virtual performances (ET).
Following her intention to make Christmas even more magical this year, Carey announced her virtual concert.
The global personality recently worked with Booking.com to host two guests for a very special stay in her actual New York City penthouse, as well as to create a detailed itinerary of her favorite winter activities for the winners to take advantage of.

During “Mariah’s Ultimate Holiday Experience,” visitors can tour New York City for just $20.19, paying homage to the year her holiday anthem “All I Want For Christmas Is You” made its Billboard chart debut at No. 1.
Beginning on December 14 at 5:00 p.m. ET, reservations are taken on a first-come, first-served basis. The journey takes place between December 16 and 19.
The reservation also includes tickets to Carey’s “Merry Christmas To All” performance at Madison Square Garden on December 16 along with a three-night stay at The Plaza, a Fairmont Hotel. Flights and transfers are included.
She also performed an incredible performance of “All I Want for Christmas Is You” at the end of the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade on November 24 as her kids danced behind her.
