At the conference, people can sign up for one-on-one mentoring sessions with blockchain experts, learn how to set up wallets and play play-to-earn games, and look around a high-end curated NFT art gallery.
The annual Decipher conference on blockchain and Web3 use cases, presented by the Singapore-based blockchain platform Algorand Foundation, will be place from November 28-30, 2022, at the Madinat Jumeirah Conference & Events Centre in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
More than 120 speakers from top companies in the tech industry, such as the Bahamian cryptocurrency exchange FTX, the US-based global investment firm SkyBridge Capital, the UK-based zero-carbon technology-based Formula E company Envision Racing, the US-based music streaming platform Napster, the Cayman Islands-based cryptocurrency exchange Binance, the China-based crypto-native venture firm Sino Global Capital, and many others, are expected to speak at the three-day conference.
At the conference, people can sign up for one-on-one mentoring sessions with blockchain experts, learn how to set up wallets and play play-to-earn games, and look around a high-end curated NFT art gallery. Also, they will be able to take part in hands-on workshops led by engineers and product leaders that are made for developers. These experts came up with the Algorand protocol, which is a decentralized Byzantine agreement protocol based on pure proof-of-stake. It can handle any number of bad users as long as more than two-thirds of the total stake in the system is held by those who follow the protocol.
Over the course of the three days, there will be a total of 50 sessions. One of these sessions, called “Financial Inclusion at Scale: A World Tour,” will focus on the different challenges and opportunities that exist in creating a blockchain-powered, inclusive financial future. Sanzar Kakar, Founder, HesabPay, Victor Mapunga, co-founder and CEO, FlexFinTx, Abhinav Sinha, co-founder, Eko India Financial Services, and Matt Keller, Head of Social Impact, Algorand Foundation, will all speak at this session.
After Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of the Dubai Executive Council, announced the Dubai Metaverse Strategy in July 2022, another session at the conference will focus on work done in the metaverse space. It will be called “Building the Next Crypto Capital,” and business leaders from the Middle East will talk about how to help crypto businesses that follow the rules do well. Basil Al Askari, CEO and co-founder of MidChains, Benjamin Ampen, CEO of MENA for Kraken, and Jehanzeb Awan, Chairman of the Middle East, Africa, and Asia Crypto and Blockchain Association, are among the people who will speak at this session.
The CEO of FTX, Sam Bankman-Fried, and the founder and managing partner of SkyBridge Capital, Anthony Scaramucci, will also speak at a session called “Efficiency, Speed, and USDC on Algorand.” Also, on November 30, 2022, from 8:30 to 10:00 a.m., a special Women’s Breakfast Club will be held for all women in the Web3 technology community. This event is free and open to all women.
