The Care Bears are entering the metaverse, bringing with them their charming, little perspective. The “Care Bear Avatars” NFT collection is now accessible in The Sandbox metaverse, and may be used to perform missions, play games, and earn $SAND, the metaverse’s native cryptocurrency.
The minting of The Care Bears Avatars began on November 14, 2022, with public sales commencing on November 15, 2022. The NFTs are no longer available from the mint and must be obtained on secondary markets such as OpenSea.
What we know about the Care Bears Avatars is the following:
● There are 3,060 different NFTs, and they come in different rarities, such as Classic, Multicolor, Mixed, Unique Skins, and Web3.
● The NFTs were minted for 100 $SAND apiece on the Polygon blockchain. Each person might get a maximum of four Care Bears.
● In The Sandbox, each avatar opens up a different set of features and functions.
● Each NFT has 100 traits and designs that were made by hand.
● It is the first NFT collection to use a smaller model, which gives users a different way to see the metaverse.
● The collection includes 10 special 1/1 Care Bear avatars.
The Care Bears are one of the most well-known characters from the 1980s and 1990s. They were in TV shows, books, movies, and video games. Elena Kucharik painted them in 1981, and cards were made from them at the time.
This is not the Care Bears’ first journey into Web3. Care Bears revealed their collaboration with The Sandbox in September 2022, shortly after releasing its inaugural NFT collection. The current OpenSea floor price for a Care Bears Avatars is.04 ETH.
Brands keep putting out NFT collections
Fans of the cute Care Bears should be happy about the new NFT collection from the brand. Care Bears isn’t the only brand that wants to reach more people through Web3. Even though the market is down, there have been a number of NFT collections released in the past few months. Here are a few of our most popular stories.
First, the American teddy bear store Build-A-Bear launched its first NFT collectible to mark its 25th anniversary. The winner of the one-of-a-kind NFT and physical teddy bear also got a trip to the brand’s 25th Anniversary party in its home city of St. Louis.
Next, the wildly popular HBO show “Game of Thrones” declared it would be releasing its first NFT collection before the end of the year. The “Game of Thrones: Build Your Realm” non-fungible tokens will let people take part in activities and challenges with a similar theme and collect different packs to make their characters stronger.
Last but not least, yesterday Adidas announced its first NFT collection of digital wearables. The “Virtual Gear” NFTs will work with different PFP avatars and across several metaverses. They were airdropped to people who owned Adidas’ Phase 2 “Capsule” NFTs.
Even though crypto and the NFT market are going through hard times, brands are still putting time and money into Web3 technologies like NFTs and the metaverse. We won’t know what fans think of the new Care Bear Avatar NFTs until they come out, but this shows that the relationship between Care Bears and The Sandbox is changing.
